• Software Management:

• Install, configure, and maintain AutoCAD Plant 3D software.
• Ensure all updates, patches, and licenses are up to date.

• User Support:

• Provide technical support to AutoCAD Plant 3D users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues.

• Customization:

• Customize the software interface and settings to meet project-specific needs.
• Develop and maintain custom catalogs, specifications, and templates.

• Training:

• Conduct training sessions for new users and ongoing skill development for existing users.
• Create and update training materials and documentation.

• Data Management:

• Manage the organization and storage of design files, drawings, and project data.
• Implement data backup and recovery processes.

• Collaboration:

• Facilitate collaboration among project teams by setting up and managing project sharing tools.
• Ensure data exchange and compatibility with other software platforms.

• Standards Enforcement:

• Establish and enforce CAD standards and best practices.
• Review and audit project files to ensure compliance with standards.

• Quality Control:

• Perform quality checks on drawings and models to identify errors or inconsistencies.
• Implement processes for quality assurance and control.

• Project Coordination:

• Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure the software supports project goals and timelines.
• Help coordinate multi-disciplinary design efforts.

• Integration:

• Integrate AutoCAD Plant 3D with other software tools used in the project, such as P&ID software or structural design software.

• Documentation:

• Create and maintain documentation on software configurations, customizations, and workflows.
• Document best practices and lessons learned for future projects.

• Security:

• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect project data.
• Manage user access and permissions.

• Performance Optimization:

• Monitor software performance and optimize configurations for efficiency.
• Recommend hardware upgrades when necessary.

• Vendor Relations:

• Liaise with Autodesk or other software vendors for technical support and product updates.

• Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and software advancements.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and efficiency within the organization.

·         An in-depth knowledge of Plant 3D Customization & AutoCAD, Lisp Programming, and a hand-on experience on SQL database

·         Knowledge in International Codes and Practices

·         Software Loading and Project Setup

·         Day-to-day administrative activities like Project Archival, Retrieval, Back Up, etc.

·         Piping Specs, Specialty Items customization & catalogues preparation

·         Drawing file customization

·         Extraction of various reports like Interferences, Reports, MTO, Line List, Design Parameters, and Insulation

·         Troubleshooting of Plant 3D user level and advance user level problems

·         Conducting internal training

·         Administration of Plant 3D model, customization to suit project requirements, and support to multi-discipline end users of model

·         Ensure maintenance of integrity of 3D model database and regular transfer of information from 3D model to other IT Systems

·         Work closely with discipline leads of projects to understand their requirements and address their demand on time

·         Develop macros to automate tasks, improve efficiency, and avoid human errors.

• Intelligent PID administration is also preferred.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

·         Educational Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Piping Engineering, or a related field.
