• To procure materials economically at a cost consistent with the quality and service required. However, generally all purchases may be attempted at the lowest cost.
• Cost Cutting through negotiation with suppliers.
• Transport Contract Management with proper T&C of transportation.
• Job Work Contract Management of our key material and follow-ups schedule for job work material and payment processing.
• Auditing of Job work site, storage premises of supplier to know the material condition of supply.
• Development of Risk management approach towards vendor pool and knowhow of MSMS scheme.
• Standardizing and managing the evaluation of replacement items for obsolete parts and component acceptability.
• Identify the critical spares and make the necessary provision for that i.e., Vendor development, minimize the lead time.
• Avoid the stock out situation for the stock items.
• Procurement of stock items as per the specification and avoid rejection.
• Reviewing the technical specifications for accuracy and completeness
• Follow up of purchase orders for delivery in due time.
• Sound Technical Knowledge of Benchmark Commercial functions
• Cost estimate of various input to final cost.
• Knowledge in SAP systems, IMS
• Knowledge on applicable statutory requirement.
• Knowledge of ISO Standards
